We
break new ground
2D animation creates flat two-dimensional visuals, from simple icon animations and motion graphics to complex character-driven storytelling. It's versatile, cost-effective and works brilliantly for explainer videos, social content and brand storytelling. It has a warmth and accessibility that audiences respond to.
Fox + Bear has produced 2D animation across educational and explainer videos, product launch campaigns, character design and animation, social media content, TV commercials, motion graphics and animated brand films. Styles range from clean corporate flat design to expressive character-driven illustration.
We break it down into a five key steps. 1. Discovery – we understand your goals, audience and key message. 2. Pre-production – script, style frames and storyboard, with you approving each stage. 3. Animation – we bring the visuals to life. 4. Sound and music – SFX, voiceover and music track. 5. Final delivery in all formats needed. Collaborative and iterative throughout.
We build in approval checkpoints at every major stage – script, style frames, storyboard, rough animation and final delivery. You're never seeing something for the first time at the end of a long production run, and we actively seek your input and iterate based on feedback.
A 60-90 second 2D animation typically takes 6-10 weeks from brief to delivery. Shorter pieces can move faster, whearas complex character-based animations take more time. We always map out a realistic timeline at project kick-off.
2D animation uses flat illustrated visuals – warmer, more approachable and typically faster and more cost-effective. 3D/CGI creates three-dimensional rendered worlds – premium, cinematic, ideal for physical products, complex mechanisms or immersive environments. We do both brilliantly and will give you honest advice on which suits your brief.
